UPSKILL: Understanding and Preventing the Impacts of Trauma

Our UPSKILL trainings are great for not for profits, charities and social enterprises in the Social Purpose Sector, as well as consultants and professional service businesses.


In this training, we look at how to protect your staff and yourself from the impact of exposure to the trauma of their clients and colleagues. Approximately 20% of frontline workers go on to experience PTSD as a result of being exposed to the trauma of their clients, which has serious health and wellbeing costs for all concerned.

Wednesday 26 October, 12-1pm AEDT (Sydney time)

This one-hour training session will support you to understand:

  •        The psychological nature of trauma and vicarious trauma
  •        How to recognise the signs of trauma, burnout and compassion fatigue in staff
  •        Strategies to protect yourself and your staff against the impact of trauma and vicarious trauma

Adam Blanch

Specialist Trainer

Adam is a Specialist and Foundation Member of the Collective, and has been a therapist for 30 years, employing over 30 therapeutic approaches. He specialises in treating trauma, complex trauma and personality disorders, and treats most psychological dysfunction. Adam also provides professional training, program development and group work facilitation with specific focus on working with NFP and Charities, and has provided training to more than 200 NFPs.
