Julia is the Founder and CEO of Benefolk, with more than 25 years’ experience spanning consulting, philanthropy, social enterprise, media, communications, and corporate social responsibility.
She has advised hundreds of organisations on strategy, sustainable growth, leadership resilience, governance, and operating models, particularly during periods of complexity or transformation.
Her background includes senior experience across journalism, media, agencies, and consulting, giving her deep expertise in communications strategy, stakeholder engagement, messaging, partnerships, and how organisations build trust and influence in the public domain.
Under Julia’s leadership, Benefolk has supported more than 900 organisations across Australia’s social impact ecosystem and built widely used free capability and wellbeing resources for the sector.
She brings a rare combination of strategic rigour, communications acumen, commercial practicality, and deep empathy, helping organisations build growth strategies that are achievable, sustainable, and aligned to leadership capacity and mission.
