RESET 2020 FINDINGS

The RESET 2020 National Impact+Need Research Study was a collective and collaborative effort to capture the impacts of COVID-19 on the social sector in Australia. The project was generously funded by the Equity Trustees Sector Capacity Building Fund, and supported by a range of outreach partners.

The RESET 2020 study consists of two surveys, conducted five months apart. The first was active in April/May 2020, with insights released on 10 August 2020. The second ran over September/October 2020, with results released in late November.

See the highlights from each study and links to the full reports below.

The full datasets for Phases 1 and 2 are now also freely available on the Seer platform. The portal is interactive, and can be segmented and personalised to display your areas of interest. Choose to view the results from one or both phases – or compare the two for in-depth analysis.

As the impacts of COVID-19 continues to change, the study may be repeated again in 2021, to track evolving needs and determine what further support is required.

“As we face business uncertainties in the social sector it is great to know that organisations like Benefolk (formerly The Xfactor Collective) are checking in with us to understand common challenges and the overall impact of the pandemic on our operations.

“The data from these check in surveys adds value to our collective knowledge about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the social sector."
